What colour is your skin?

In England, twice when I have gone to fill out application the same question has repeated; What is your ethnic group? I don't understand anything, it's necessary to know what is it you skin colour to study? The application contain a long list of different skin colours, for example:
White - British
White - Irish
White Other
Any other white Background
Any other White and Black
Any Other Mixed Background
Any Other Black Background
For me is an absolutely absurd question, I don't understand this, I can't see any sense in this question, it's as if they asked you about your eye colour, your size of shoes or your colour hair. I really don't understand.
In both occasions I couldn't help laughing and I asked to person who attend me for help because I really don't know which is my ethnicity moreover I dont't care about that.
For my surprise, when I researched on the internet the application for show you, on the web page of my college I found an information, this information didn't like me at all. The relevant information about its community (facts and figures) was "6.9% of the popilation being from a Black or Minority Ethnic Group" Is it important this information? because I don't think so. Perhaps this information is not derogatory and only it's information and I am a person with a lot of prejudiced whatever it is I didn't like, I don't know the reason.
And... What does that have to do with the museum?
In the museum I saw a man with blue skin. I couldn't found anything about this, but I remember that in its explanatory panel said that time ago in China existed a disease that convert skin in blue.
The next time that someone ask me about my colour skin, I will write... my skin's colour is blue!
Talk about this make me remember a short film called Binta and the great idea, this film is not directly to the subject of my composition but I have remembered one sentence when Binta said: "...I also like yellow a lot. Yellow is the colour of the sun. But my favorite colour of all...is the color of skin." What colour is the colour of skin?
I hope you enjoy this short film a lot!

Blanc - Irlanda
Blanc Altres
Qualsevol altre fons blanc
Qualsevol altra Blanc i Negre
Qualsevol altre fons mixt
Qualsevol Fons Negre Altres

Decoys

In the museum, the first thing that captured my interest was a rag doll. It was nearly 50 centimeters tall. When I finished to read its explanatory panel, I was surprised because it was a war doll. On June 6th, 1944 the RAF dropped "paradummies" over the French Atlantic coast, this fact caused confusion to German soldier. When I came bake home, I researched more information about decoys parachutes. I read that each doll had one little bomb so when the doll landed on the floor, the bomb exploited without a trace.
Other types of decoy were used by soldiers on other occasions. For example, the Americans soldiers used a dummy tank. It was a false tank build of wooden or inflatable material.
It's incredible how far can arrive the imagination of the people for getting the power. I am sure that the person that invented these decoys would be at home dying of laughter.
I would like so much that the conflicts could be solved by dialogue but its seems impossible.
Anonymous fighter never have in her weapons the reason but when you learn to cry for something also you learn to defend it (Barricada).

Reclams

Believe it or not!

The last weekend I went to London because I was free. I went there because I wanted to surprise one of my friends of my village, he works in London since 3 months ago. I asked to people where he works and I went to see him but he didn't know anything! I didn't know if that day he would work but for my surprising when I found the restaurant he was there!
I was so glad to see him, he also to see someone well-known but he would have to end at twelve o'clock so I had 6 hours for visiting London.
The truth, there was cold so after walking for three hours I saw a museum that it would open until midnight so it was perfect and I decided to spend part of my money visiting it. It was a museum very strange, it's called Ripley's Believe it or not. Robert Ripley was an explorer, an adventurer. He dedicated his life to collect a lot of unusual things that he found it in his path. In addition, Jim Carrey, my favorite actor is filming the film about the life of Robert Ripley so it was a perfect decision.
My level of English is limited and I can't write about anything. As of now I will write about the things that more surprised me in the museum, after of this... I hope to improve my English! Believe it or not! XD

Creu-t'ho o no!

Vaig preguntar a la gent on treballava i vaig anar a veure'l però ell no tenia ni idea! Jo no sabia si eixe dia treballaria o no però per a la la meua sorpresa quan vaig trobar el restaurant ell estava allí!
Creu-t'ho o no! XD

Running

I started to run when I was twelve years old, more than 12 years ago, more than half of my life. I remember the first time that I run more than ten minutes, I was very satisfied with myself. I decided run for myself and I think that is one of the best decisions of my life because running only give me good things.I have known a lot of people who until today they are my friends and I still share my life with them although sometimes it's difficult.
This morning I have gone out to run I like so much. A few months ago I thought that I couldn't run never again and now I can run again. I am very happy for this reason.
When I have gone out, the temperature was two below zero, I am always very wrapped up so it's very estrange that I am cold but today my ears were frozen. Ten minutes later I had started to run the snow has begun to fell but it was very tiny snowflakes, it doesn't matter, I like feel the cold in my face, I like put my finger in my nose and  to breathe out strong to pulling out my snots.
I like to run alone, in company, in competition...I like to run when it's warm, it's cold or when the temperature is perfect.
And you? Do you like to run?

Aquest matí he eixit a córrer, m'agrada tant!
I a tu? T'agrada córrer?

Recycling

Recycling
I always hear to people say that no it’s important recycling, they say that recycling no exist. I always recycle, in my home all my family recycle, I think is very easy and when you make it, you help our planet.
I have tried research information about recycling because I wanted to know why people say that but I haven't found anything.
I have read a lot of information about news methods of recycling, which is the best country and which is the worst country recycling but I haven't found what happens in the cities where it's exist recycling plants. I wanted to know if the recycling plants are in operate or not. I also wanted to know which is the responsibility of people in this but there isn’t anything.
In England each house has its own rubbish bins, one for paper, one for organic rubbish, other for crystal and the last for plastic. I think is very interesting because people are more conscious about the problem.
In the UE, 513 kg of municipal waste was generated per person in 2009. Bulgarian people threw all their waste at the same place, Germans were able to recycle 49 per cent of their waste in 2009. Now the situation is better in Germany.
Spanish state only 24%
Some years ago I saw a documentary that surprised me, it’s about the waste that one person generate in the course of her live.
Here is the link to se the documentary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70fQ8Jk7IgY
I hope that enjoy it.

Reciclatge

Thank you

Thank you

When I arrived to England one of the things that I like the most was the use of the word thanks. People give thanks when they get off from bus, I like that. When I was a child, I remember that people gave thanks more frequently than now.  I think is easy to give thanks and after you say that the people are grateful.
I also remember when I get on the train when I sat I say good morning to people around me, if I saw the driver of train I said to him good morning also. Now, I think the people don’t say good morning to anyone, neither do I.
When I bring Daisy to school, before we enter inside the school, one man call Malcolm take care of the children. He wears yellow reflective clothes, a cap and his hand hold a signal. His work is stop the traffic of cars so children can enter to school without problems.
All children give thanks to Malcolm when they across the pedestrian crossing, their parents also say him than you. I think, in this moment the parents remember when they were children because their voices seem sweeter.
People commonly called Lollipop Man or Lollipop Lady because for the children the signal seems a big lollipop.
In my opinion, we should say thank you more often, because as people of my town say: “is well-born be grateful”.

Quan porte a Daisy a l'escola, abans d'entrar a l'escola, un home anomenat Malcolm té cura dels xiquets.

London by bike

I went to London last week. London is 20 minutes fare away from my house by train.
I decided to take my bike to go to London because I read that two years ago,  a big network of roads for bikes, was created. Here it's possible to takes bikes inside the train, only Monday to Friday, from eight to ten o’clock you may have problems because the train is crowded but the rest of time is possible to take your bike inside without problems.
In London there aren’t a specific  bicycle paths, there are different colours lines which are on both sides on the road, near from the sidewalk. This lines show the different routes.
I went to London without any map or guide, I got off from train with my bike and I decided to investigate the streets by myself.
One hour later, I was tired because it was difficult for me to find a determined route so I decided to follow the London buses it was fantastic!
I was very fast from one place to another one. You can follow the bus without any problem because they are slow and frequently stop.
There are greenways for cycling paths through parks and along canals.
When I get back home I started reading more about cycling routes. You can get a lot of guides of the different routes in London so I applied to all the guides. Three days more latter I received my guides by post.
I recommend you to visit London by bike, you can see a lots of places very quickly and it is more beautiful see the city than travelling underground.
If you need some guides ask me!

Marmite "love it or hate it"

Marmite

Marmite

Till now, this is one of the products which has attracted my attention. Ass soon as I saw my child spreading  this product, I immediately wanted to know what it was. It's intense brown, almost black. Its texture is similar to liquid caramel.
When I asked to Karen (the child's mother), she said to me:

It's a very typical product in England, its flavor is very intense, or you adore it or you detest it.

After all, I tasted the product but I didn't know very well what it was. It was a strong flavor, and yes, it was strange. The flavor remembered me when I ate roasted chicken, the most strong sauce's flavor.
On the label I read that this product is suitable for vegetarian people so my idea wasn't possible.
I searched in internet and I found the next slogan “love it or hate it”, the same what Karen had told me.
It's a typical product for Englhis people and it's made with the extract of beer yeast. It's obtained as a sub product of the beer process.
Finally, if you come here, I recommend to go to Tesco or something similar and to buy marmite. You will tell me if you like it or not.
All this talk about food has made me to be hungry so I'm going to go to the kitchen and I'm going to eat a marmite's toast.
